Compute, to us means: a smarter, more efficient way to approach building a AI project, because You don’t have to make a huge investment, you can use facilities. Temporarily, we have redundant facilities, and there are not long-term obligations or capital expenditures to actually build these things out.
This is especially helpful if you don’t have a long-term need for something for example, AI training runs, which are very intensive and time consuming but they don’t last very long as a project overall. You could be left a lot of hardware you can’t use and more cost just to do the same thing we offer. Most AI laboratories don’t have additional budget for such extraneous expenditures.
Their budgets need to be focused on whatever will get the project to conclusion. Also include research design and development not to mention consultation, but this will mainly be in class 38. I believe for a class similar to that and class 42. Also, we could do class nine if we want but try to decide what downloadable software named compute you would be featuring.
Human cognition is in no danger of being surpassed by machines anytime soon. It’s also, the most basic missing ingredient in the “recipe” that AI has been truly searching for.
Or to summarize this concept, let’s use this example: the scientists at Compute R&D Labs possess “cognitive” abilities, as does every human being on the planet. Machines simply lack this capacity.
So the best machines “using AI” can most likely muster in this day and age, would be to utilize basic mathematics, for simply determining the probabilities of selecting “the best choice of words.” And most likely it is dispensed one word at a time to generate what the math indicates the most probable wording.
Or in the end, even those final words are based on a model comprised of rephrased prior words and parts of words used in sequence by presumably once living human beings, that were simply recorded or referenced to arrive at a “conclusion,” unless it was trained on your exact query, with a direct reply.
And that may sound complex or even amazing. But what the average human does is far more remarkable than that, nor is it more importantly, anything like that process for us. Human intelligence is still the top rung of the ladder today as well.
So we can probably count the ways we’re “doing okay” in this department if we give it thought. But a machine, can’t do this.
